Production Introduction

Desulfurization gypsum is an industrial by-product obtained by desulfurization of flue gas from the combustion of sulfur-containing fuels (coal, oil, etc.). The main component of desulfurization gypsum is calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO4-2H2O), which is slightly yellow in color, neutral or slightly alkaline, and has a narrow particle size distribution. It is a good building material, equivalent to natural gypsum, and can be used in the construction and building materials industry to make stucco plaster, gypsum blocks, paper-faced gypsum board, gypsum hollow board, self-leveling gypsum slurry, cement retarder, etc.

Desulfurization gypsum rotary kiln is a kind of equipment widely used in desulfurization process to treat sulfur dioxide in flue gas. It uses the calcination reaction of gypsum at high temperature to convert SO2 in desulfurization exhaust gas into sulfur trioxide (SO3) and react with gypsum to produce calcium sulfate (CaSO4).

The working principle of this equipment is that the desulfurization exhaust gas is introduced into the rotary kiln and gypsum is added to the rotary kiln at the same time. At high temperature, gypsum reacts with SO2 to form SO3, and then SO3 reacts with gypsum to form CaSO4. As the rotary kiln rotates, the resulting gypsum particles are gradually shaped and flow to the end of the kiln. At the end of the kiln, the gypsum particles are cooled and then separated from the granular powder by a vibrating screen.

The raw materials of desulfurization gypsum are conveyed by sieves, loading conveyors and feeders to the pre-drying drum for pre-drying, and the desulfurization gypsum is pre-dried for a period of time by calcining exhaust gas at 180°C to 200°C.

After pre-drying, the desulfurization gypsum with free water removed is conveyed to the calcining drum through the transfer conveyor and feeder, and the pre-dried desulfurization gypsum is calcined at a temperature of 500℃~700℃, and after calcining for a period of time, the desulfurization gypsum is made into high quality hemihydrate gypsum after calcination, and is conveyed out by the finished product conveyor.

A large amount of waste gas generated from the calcination drum at 180℃~200℃ is filtered through cyclone dust collector and pulse bag filter, and then introduced into the pre-drying drum through the induced draft fan as the heat source of pre-drying to realize the secondary use of waste gas, and so on and so forth.
